*Call to Worship
Liturgist: In the midst of difficulty, the Lord sets a table of rejoicing for us.
People: Though the world seems focused on turmoil, yet will we praise God!
Liturgist: Our lives should be witnesses to God’s goodness and power.
People: Our hearts should encompass compassion and service to God’s people.
Liturgist: Help us to be your workers and witnesses in today’s world, O Lord.
People: Enable us to be faithful and strong for you. AMEN.

*Opening Prayer
God of blessings, you shower our world and our lives with your presence, with your love and with your guidance. Yet so often we do not see you. We focus on the things that are seen and not the things that are unseen. We allow ourselves to be consumed by little annoyances and frustrating encounters. Help us to pause, O God. Open our eyes to see the bright and beautiful blessings that surround us. Open our hearts to receive those blessings. And open our minds to discern how we can be a blessing to those around us. Amen.
