You are invited to help celebrate WPH's 20th Anniversary!

In mid November 2017 WPH will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary!  We'll be hosting a breakfast event to bring together our many partners, and supporters to thank them for their contributions to the success of our organization.

The celebration will feature a Visionaries Panel with representatives from the post-secondary, manufacturing, healthcare and tech sectors to speak about what the World Economic Forum has labelled the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and what this will mean to the evolution of our local workforce.

Stay tuned for more information about our celebration and how you can be involved!

Immigration in Ontario? Achieving best outcomes for newcomers and the economy

The Institute for Competitiveness & Prosperity has recently released their 28th Working Paper. The paper found that those who settle in this country and eventually become Canadian citizens have much to offer, and government has a large role to play in ensuring their success.

The Institute finds that if employment hurdles were eliminated or at least lowered to unlock immigrants' economic potential, this could result in up to a $15.2 billion increase in immigrant incomes - equivalent to 2.0 percent of Ontario's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
