The Rev. Dr. MaryAnn McKibben Dana will preach at the 10:30 a.m. Hoover Community Worship Service on Sunday, June 30. Her sermon, titled "The Hour has Come," is based on John 2:1-11.

Guests may view the Art Show and purchase artwork a half-hour prior to all Sunday Hoover Community Worship Services and Hoover Auditorium evening performances, as well as 3-5 p.m. Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Everyone is invited to an after-dark party where we will race along a route of black lights. There will be games, black lights and a DJ at the Pavilion.

Hoover Auditorium
The Peking Acrobats perform daring maneuvers atop a precarious stack of chairs and display their technical prowess at trick-cycling, precision tumbling, juggling and gymnastics.
This week's lecture series theme is Artificial Intelligence (July 1-3). No lectures will be held on Thursday, July 4.

Celebrate the Fourth of July in Lakeside
The Fourth of July celebration begins at 10 a.m. with our popular Children’s Bike Parade departing from Perry Park. Following the bike parade, at 10:15 a.m., will be the Fourth of July Parade along Second Street. Register your float by 12 p.m. Monday, July 1.
Lakeside is honored to have the Rev. Irwin and Janet Jennings serve as this year's Grand Marshals for the Fourth of July Parade. The Jennings are beloved longtime Lakesiders who have given much to the community over the years.
Enjoy a taste of summer at the Fourth of July Cookout from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on the Hotel Lakeside lawn. The menu includes BBQ ribs or chicken, potato salad, baked beans, chips and cookies. Water and pop will also be available.
Crew members from the Danbury Township Volunteer Fire Department will be available from 7-9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4 in Pavilion Circle for a 'Touch a Truck' event.
At 9:45 p.m., fireworks will offer a spectacular finale to the holiday. A barge will launch fireworks near the north end of the dock, weather permitting. Watch for signs at the Pavilion about dock closure for the day.

“Overnight – The Boy Band Tribute” is nostalgic, sing-a-long fun to the biggest hits of your favorite boy bands, including the Backstreet Boys, 'NSYNC, NKOTB, 98°, Boys II Men, One Direction and many more.
Lakesiders of all ages are invited to submit photos to be featured in the 2020 Calendar of Events brochure , as well as Lakeside's social media pages, website, The Front Porch blog, Lakesider newspaper, advertisements, etc.
On select dates this summer, we're opening the Lakeside Schoolhouse and backstage of Hoover Auditorium for behind-the-scenes tours! No RSVP necessary.

Do the Mambo App Training
Have questions about Lakeside's new app? Join staff at the Train Station at 4 p.m. July 1 or 8 a.m. July 2 to learn how to use and navigate 'Do the Mambo."
The 14th Annual Garden Tour will take place at the various winning gardens across the Lakeside grounds. Nomination forms must be received by 4 p.m. Monday, July 1.
The evening will begin with Rhein Center artist demonstrations and cocktails, and continue with food stations and music at 6:30 p.m. Dress is casual. Limited tickets available.
Lakeside welcomes Chris Holtmann, Ohio State University’s Men's Head Basketball Coach, as keynote speaker of the annual Prayer Breakfast. Limited tickets available.
Chris Holtmann will share reflections about his athletic journey at a luncheon in Wesley Lodge during his Lakeside visit. Limited tickets available.
