The course will start at the Lakeside Sailing Center, sail around Mouse Island and back to Lakeside. Registration is free and begins at 8 a.m. at the sailing center.

The Rev. Dr. Luke A. Powery will preach at the 10:30 a.m. Hoover Community Worship Service on Sunday, July 28. His sermon, "Will He Find Faith on Earth?," is based on Luke 18:1-8.

Walkers, joggers and runners of all ages will take to the streets of Lakeside for the 39th Annual 5k Raccoon Run and One-Mile Fun Run. Register online through Ohio Race Day. Day-of-race registration begins at 7 a.m. in Chautauqua Hall.

The exhibit features entries taken by amateur photographers from Lakeside and the surrounding area. Photos may be viewed a half-hour prior to all Sunday Hoover Community Worship Services and all evening Hoover Auditorium shows and from 3-5 p.m. Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

New Music Director & Conductor Daniel Meyer will lead the Lakeside Symphony Orchestra (LSO) as it opens its 56 th summer residency. This concert will feature violinist Jinjoo Cho . A native of Seoul, South Korea, Cho moved to Cleveland at the age of 14 to study at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM). This new festival along Lakeside’s scenic waterfront features some of the greatest summer pastimes – live music and BBQ. Fun for the whole family, Lakeside’s Blues, Views & BBQ Festival showcases the music of Colin Dussault’s Blues Project and Sean Carney, and invites guests to sample delicious BBQ favorites and participate in organized park games, such as Gaga Ball, sand volleyball and field day games.

The legendary pop soul voices of Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. will fill Hoover for one night only! Originally part of the group The 5 th Dimension, they will perform classics such as “Up, Up and Away,” “Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In” and “Worst That Could Happen.” They have earned a total of seven Grammy Awards, and 15 Gold and three Platinum records.
