Welcoming Week
This year, Redwood City Public Library, the City of Redwood City and Welcoming Redwood City, a working group of Redwood City Together, are continuing the annual tradition of celebrating Welcoming Week. Welcoming Week is a nationwide movement aimed at uplifting diversity, inclusion and belonging in communities through a week of community-building activities.

From September 9-18, RCPL and our partners are hosting many events in the spirit of community and inclusion. For our Lunar Moon Festival on Sunday September 11, Redwood Shores Branch Library is partnering with the Belmont, Redwood Shores and San Carlos American Chinese Community to present a day of family activities honoring this important lunar celebration. Our Human Library on September 17 is an opportunity to foster conversations that challenge stereotypes and prejudices. Welcoming Week activities also include workshops on Healing Justice, Knowing Your Rights, and Refugee and Asylee Benefits, or you can stop by the Welcoming Redwood City booth during Pub in the Park or Fiestas Patrias.
