Program Objectives
After attending this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Review current state-of-the art endovascular treatment options of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and discuss the clinical and imaging considerations of such treatments.
- Discuss the role of advanced neuroimaging techniques in acute stroke and paradigm in triaging patients for acute interventions.
- Recommend reversal techniques for oral anticoagulants in the setting of an acute intracerebral hemorrhage.
- Discuss the relevance of diagnostic testing after ischemic stroke, and treatment implications for stroke risk factors vs stroke etiology.
- Evaluate medical, endovascular and surgical options for revascularization in acute ischemic stroke.
- Summarize decision-making considerations when resuming antithrombotics after acute intracerebral hemorrhage.
