Join us for a Groundbreaking

Ceremony at Tom Petty Park!

The City of Gainesville’s Wild Spaces & Public Places Department, along with the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, invites you to a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate upcoming improvements at Tom Petty Park.

Planned improvements include the addition of eight dedicated pickleball courts, new seating areas, parking lot lighting and a pedestrian entrance from the NE 16th Ave. crosswalk. The project will also re-route the existing multi-purpose trail to enhance ADA accessibility, renovate and enlarge the restrooms and improve the landscaping and stormwater management on-site.
