Quarterly e-newsletter                       October/November/December 2020

Dear GCSB Heritage Club Members,

I love this time of year! Football games, pumpkin patches, fall colors, farmers harvesting and cooler weather!

2020 has been an interesting year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All our 2020 trips were cancelled. For 2021, we are still hoping we will be able to book a few day trips. Time will tell!

September 14th was a big day at Guthrie County State Bank. We launched our new website and our new online and mobile banking platforms. Learn more below!

We hope you'll join us for our annual year-end social event - it's a drive through Halloween theme. There are more details in this newsletter!

Stay safe and hope to see you soon!

Due to COVID-19, we are changing up our social event, again! Join us for a Spooky Good Time on Wednesday, October 28. Drive up to either Guthrie Center or Panora Guthrie County State Bank locations between 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

We will be having a drive-through event in the banks' parking lots. Pull in the parking lots like you normally would. Team members and signs will help you navigate. Please bring a slip of paper with your name to put in the drawing for the money bag ($350.00) and drive through prizes! All you have to do is roll down your window and our team members will do the rest! Contact Kim with any questions at [email protected] or call her at 641-332-2218.
Guthrie County State Bank unveils new website!

If you haven't visited our website recently, you're in for a big surprise! We launched a new website on September 14. Whether you are looking at it on your smartphone, tablet or computer, the new website will adjust to your screen and make it easy to find the information you need. We've included calculators for savings, loans and budgeting, to help you answer your money management questions. At the top of the page, you'll find a handy "I Need To..." feature that helps get you directly to commonly used features like ordering checks, changing an address, or reporting a lost or stolen debit card. It's easier to navigate and we've added a search function to take you directly to the part of the website you need.

If you are an online banking or mobile banking user, you'll see we have also upgraded those platforms and they are getting rave reviews from our customers! Would you like to know more about online or mobile banking? Read this article or contact us to find out more.

Our GCSB Heritage Club members can access previous newsletters, read about all of the benefits of membership and we even have an online application for people to join our 55 or better group!

Winter Gear Collection
We know 2020 has been a difficult year financially for many Guthrie County families. Help keep Guthrie County kids warmer this winter by donating to our Winter Gear Collection. Between now and November 30, GCSB Heritage Club will be collecting mittens, gloves, stocking hats, and scarves for New Opportunities and 3Cs/Children's Clothes Closet. Drop off at either bank location. Thank you for helping our neighbors and friends stay a little warmer this winter!
OLBMBGCSB Launches New Online Banking and Mobile Banking Platforms!

Right now, between COVID, derecho, hurricanes and murder hornets, life might feel a little uncontrollable. But Guthrie County State Bank is here to save the day with updated on-line banking and mobile banking platforms! GCSB customers who already use these money management tools appreciate the convenience and security of banking anywhere, anytime.

Our new platforms introduce five fantastic features that give you greater control over your money, your budget and your time. Plus, these tools help to deter fraud on your account and set up alerts to warn you about any unusual activity!
  • Money management - this new budget tool helps you determine where your money is being spent, so you can have more control to work toward your goals.
  • Text alerts - set alerts for balances, large purchases, and transfers so you always know what's happening in your accounts
  • Fraud prevention - you will have greater control over your settings and password management, so you feel more secure about your account access
  • Money movement - transfer funds easily between accounts either one-time or on a schedule
  • Easy tracking - for multiple accounts, whether personal, business or community-based organization - you'll have one username, one password and easy management for all of the accounts you manage.
Launched on September 14, this enhancement will come with more flexibility, reliability and control for you. Read all about on our website and sign up today!
