Hi Calvary,



This Sunday is "Family Sunday," and it will be a special Sunday you don't want to miss! We have decided to make some changes that we hope and pray will really make this Sunday feel more like a "family gathering" than a typical service. We are turning the sanctuary into a dining room. We are moving from rows to circles and chairs to tables. We will still be sitting in chairs, not on tables, but our chairs will be around tables where we will share a little continental breakfast together as we worship the Lord. 

During this special service, our choir will be signing with the worship team, and we will be encouraged by some beautiful stories about what God has done in the lives of some of our members and through our Calvary Kids Ministry. The service will conclude with a powerful message, "NO GREATER LOVE," from Romans 5:1-11 and a time of prayer with those at our tables.

With these changes, it is especially important for you to arrive before the time service is scheduled to start.

In order to keep growing in our faith, we must SHARE our spiritual gifts, abilities, and time with the rest of the body of Christ and contribute to the body’s growth. As we do that, we grow personally. One way you can do that is by joining one of our SHARE teams. 

We have several teams right now that need additional team members. Our Calvary Kids Ministry and Ignite Youth Ministry are growing; praise God! That means they need their teams of adult leaders to grow as well. We also need help with our Facilities Team (cleaning & organizing), Media/Tech Team, Worship Team, and Outreach Teams (Food Pantry, Homeless Ministry, Life Turning Point). In addition, our Connections Team currently needs additional greeters and people to serve as Barista’s, preparing our coffee for Sunday morning.

JOIN A LIFE GROUP AND START GROWING

Authentic followers of Jesus have been taught and challenged to live out what they have learned and then take what they have learned and share it with others. Small groups are the best way to experience this learning, living, and sharing the good news. We can't love others meaningfully if we don't first get to know them. Being part of a small group will help you learn how to apply the Bible to your daily life with and from others. Meaningful group discussions and prayer help us realize we aren't alone in our questions, joys, and struggles.

Are you new to Calvary Church? If you answered “yes” then you should also know that there is such a thing as a free lunch! Our Connect Lunch provides an opportunity for those who are new to Calvary to get acquainted with our pastors and learn more about Calvary Church. The Lunch will be held on Sunday, October 13, in the church hall at 12:45 p.m. Children are welcome to join us for this lunch.

Have you experienced the loss of a loved one? Griefshare support group is a safe, welcoming place where you will find comfort, support, and healing for your loss.

ANNUAL CALVARY WOMEN'S CONFERENCE

It's time for the Annual Calvary Women's Conference! Come out to hear a dynamic message from our speaker Pastor Dawn Winsley of The Family Church in New Jersey. As always, we will offer a delicious hot breakfast and time for fellowship, fun, and prayer. We look forward to having you join us. Cost is $10 per person. Childcare will be available.

Join us for our Facebook Live “Prayer and the Word” on Mondays and Thursday mornings at 6:30 am. We begin with a brief SOAP (Scripture/Observation/Application/Prayer). Then we spend time in praise and prayer. Presently we are reading through the Psalms.
