The 3rd Annual Human Race

The 3rd Annual Human Race
Charnow Park on Hollywood Beach | Hollywood, FL

Throughout the year, HandsOn Broward works to deliver the dream of Dr. King by mobilizing thousands of volunteers in service to local communities.  Our volunteers revitalize schools, parks, playgrounds, nonprofits and neighborhoods. They create art in public spaces, build sustainable gardens, teach financial literacy to individuals and families, respond to disasters and work to protect the environment.  The Human Race is HandsOn Broward's annual 5k fundraiser to support that critical community programming.

The 3rd Annual Human Race will kick off our 2016 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Weekend and will feature a 5k run/walk along the beautiful Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.  The event will serve to unite the South Florida community in a healthy, family-friendly 5k fundraiser to support programs that honor Dr. King's vision and life of civic service.

America's Sunday Supper

America's Sunday Supper

Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s vision of people of diverse backgrounds interacting on personal levels, America's Sunday Supper encourages people to share a meal and discuss issues that affect their communities, to increase racial and cultural understanding, and to promote unity.

This year, HandsOn Broward will partner with a Broward nonprofit to host a Sunday Supper that will unite local leaders and neighbors to discuss issues  that are important to our community. Throughout the day, we will share highlights of our conversations on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter streams.
