In partnership with the Black Child Development Institute-Paramus, we invite you to a virtual bedtime story event to commemorate The Week of the Black Child. Farasha Green, the author of Ya-Ya Travels the World, will be reading her book for our families on June 9th at 7:00pm.

Ya-Ya Travels the World is a story of a young girl who loves her hometown but grows restless and longs for somewhere new. With a sense of adventure, and the help of a little magic, Ya-Ya embarks on a whirlwind journey around the world. Join Ya-Ya in her quest to find the perfect destination to escape her boredom and all the fun experiences she gets into along the way!

This children's picture book is for ages 3-8 and wonderful for both guided and independent reading.

Ya-Ya Travels the World combines fantasy, geography, and lessons in gratitude to ignite the curiosity of young minds everywhere and inspire thoughtful discourse across audiences.

Farasha Green s a native of West Orange, New Jersey. She is a graduate of LIM College, located in New York City, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Fashion Merchandising. As a young child, Farasha always had a love for books and vivid storytelling. Through a recollection of fond memories associated with reading, and a combination of her passions, the idea to write “Ya-Ya Travels the World” was born!
