ST VINCENT DE PAUL THANKS YOU A young man moved back to Seattle, where he had been raised, seeking better medical treatment for a chronic health condition he suffers from. When his first roommate was dishonest, he lost his housing and all of his personal belongings. This resulted in homelessness for several months for this neighbor. Fortunately, with income from part-time work and help from a non-profit agency, the man reestablished himself in permanent housing. When his employer cut back on his work hours, he fell short of having enough money to pay his rent. Wanting to retain his housing, this neighbor called the SVDP Helpline (206-767-6449). Thanks to your support, we gave rent assistance. When we visited the man, he expressed hope that a recent full-time job opportunity would come through to end his money concerns.
