ST VINCENT DE PAUL THANKS YOU A young man moved back to Seattle, where he had been raised, seeking better medical treatment for a chronic health condition he suffers from. When his first roommate was dishonest, he lost his housing and all of his personal belongings. This resulted in homelessness for several months for this neighbor. Fortunately, with income from part-time work and help from a non-profit agency, the man reestablished himself in permanent housing. When his employer cut back on his work hours, he fell short of having enough money to pay his rent. Wanting to retain his housing, this neighbor called the SVDP Helpline (206-767-6449). Thanks to your support, we gave rent assistance. When we visited the man, he expressed hope that a recent full-time job opportunity would come through to end his money concerns. Information, Jo Ann Wiesner, 206-291-4012 or wiesnerjo@gmail.com.

All abilities and dogs are welcome. Information, Anisa Ralls, 206-382-4269 or aralls@stjames-cathedral.org.

THE SPIRITUAL EXERCISES IN EVERYDAY LIFE (SEEL) Puget Sound is a 9-month retreat format of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius that goes from September through May. It is a dynamic program of prayer, monthly communal retreat mornings and individual spiritual direction. SEEL will offer two options to experience the retreat in 2024-2025 – a mostly in-person retreat held at St. Joseph in Seattle, and an online retreat for those unable to meet in person. SEEL is accepting applications now for the program starting in late September and offers the retreat at no set fee so that all who are accepted can participate. Information, www.seelpugetsound.org.
