Download Your Lenten Devotional Booklet
The Lenten Devotional is in its fourth year, and contains reflections written by members and clergy of St Francis. Each day in Lent has a reflection based on the daily readings assigned by the Common Lectionary for the Lenten Season. The thoughtful reflections published in these booklets have been at the center of a Lenten practice for many in our community, and we hope that this year these writings will continue to challenge and inspire.

Tired of Writing Checks? Want to Simplify Your Life?
If you love automated processes, it’s easy to set up automatic bill pay with your bank, for your pledges and gifts to St. Francis. Online bill paying lets you set up a secure online account and pay your bills electronically. When you make an automatic payment, you tell your bank to transfer money, on your predetermined schedule, for the amount(s) you specify. Just enter the payee details: St. Francis Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 772, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274. You don’t need the account or bank code number. If you add your St Francis giving number as a reference (printed on your pledge envelopes) it would be helpful. It's secure, safe and convenient for you, and helps St. Francis manage our budget.
A Need:
Do you have a spare room to rent or to offer for in-kind help for someone who needs a place to live? If so, please let Paula+ know and she will share the details..

Scholarship Outreach - Designs for Dining
Friday, March 6, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Our Designs for Dining invitations are available for you to pick up at church after services, or in the church office. We don't mail invitations to the parishioners in order to save postage. If you can't make it to church and need one mailed to you, call the church office and we mail one to you. Also, think of friends and neighbors that you might want to give an invitation to - the committee is planning a very fun day, with speakers, boutiques, silent auction (including a 6 days, 6 night photo safari to South Africa - with 2 game drives a day included). Delicious food is included throughout the day, including a light lunch, all as part of the ticket price, $45 in advance and $50 at the door.
Can You Donate Food?
If you are able to donate either cookies or bars for our luncheon and tea time, please bring to the church kitchen on either Thursday, marked, "Designs for Dining" or Friday, March 6. If you need anything picked up, call Cheryl Gutierrez (310) 621-3532.
We also need lemons for beverages, please leave in the church kitchen.

Feed Your Soul With Duruflé’s Requiem
Combined Choirs—Sunday, March 22, 3:30 p.m.,
& Sunday, March 29, 4:00 p.m.
The exquisite Requiem by French composer Maurice Durufl é was written in 1947, at the end of World War II. Msr Durufle chose not to follow the dramatic renditions as written by Mozart, Berlioz, Verdi, and others, but instead bases his melodies on Gregorian chant. The effect is at times ethereal, and at other times full of power. The St Francis Choir will join forces with the choir from St Peter's By The Sea Presbyterian Church to bring this beautiful music to life. We will be accompanied by strings, harp, brass, and organ. Don't miss it!
March 22, at St Peter's By The Sea Presbyterian Church, 6410 Palos Verdes Drive South, RPV - requiem in concert with other music.
March 29, at St Francis - the requiem will be included in the music for a deeply spiritual evensong service.
