Greetings!
Join us for the Careers in Recovery and Wellness Training Center's
Ongoing Employment Support & Education Meeting

WEDNESDAY, March 11th, 2020 4:30-6:00 PM
Hosted by Emily Vaianella, Outreach & Training Peer Specialist

"Peer Support in Peer Services"

During this workshop, facilitated by Billy Gamble, we will explore how our peer support values can be upheld when working in a managed care environment.
Together, we will consider the fundamentals of peer support and peer services, as well as their unique differences from each other and from traditional services.
Billy Gamble
" Billy Gamble was educated by Middletown Psychiatric Center and the State of New York. Where he failed miserably at the simplest tasks such as medication compliance, active listening and gaining insight into his “dis-ease”. While transitioning out of Middletown PC for the last time (they’ve closed the facility to prevent his return) Bill was introduced to the fading Mental Patients’ Liberation Movement and the fledgling Peer Service Industry. Today Bill lives in a NIMBY neighborhood as a community member, partner, proud parent and grandparent ."
This meeting will be open to Careers in Recovery and Wellness Graduates and Trainees. IN ADDITION, we will be opening this meeting to all working or aspiring Peer Specialists in New York State!
