THE REV. TERRY GLEESON, PRIEST FOR LITURGY AND FORMATION

I invite you to sit with the stillness and silence of an image – to “listen with the ear of your heart” in the words of St. Benedict – and to consider how images can help transform us into God’s people. You can see more in this week’s Sunday Spotlight

I look forward to worshipping with you online and in person this Sunday.
RISE AND SHINE TARRYTOWN EGGS AT THE MARKET
SATURDAY, AUGUST 21 | GOOD SHEPHERD FARMERS MARKET

Check out this video of parishioner August Parker, our newest farmer at the market. Thanks to a chicken wandering into their yard and being adopted by the Parker family, we now have Rise and Shine Tarrytown Eggs at our market on Saturdays! Gotta get there early to get 'em before they sell out. $6 for half a dozen.

We are glad to share that Lono's food truck will return this Saturday for a repeat performance of cooking up some delicious hamburgers. They sold out last week so don't dilly dally!

The Good Shepherd Farmers Market is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday, rain or shine until September 25th.

Receive weekly updates from the Good Shepherd Farmers Market by sending us an email.
ONE BOOK ONE PARISH
The Art of Gathering by Priya Parker

“None of us shows up as a blank slate to anything.”

As we REgather this fall, we will lean on Parker's research and experience to help us build community with the new perspectives and curiosity we have gained over the past several months. Each of us will have a story to tell about the pandemic and listening and learning from one another will be pivotal. We invite you to read along with us to discover new ways of gathering.

Order your copy here and stay tuned to join the discussion!
OUTREACH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Community First! Village: Watch this video to share the experience of volunteers gathered at Community First! Village preparing a home for a homeless neighbor. Save the date for our next make-ready on Friday, September 3rd. Sign up here to get involved.

After your experience please share your story of service with Aimee Bostwick.
RECRUITING LECTORS AND INTERCESSORS

Would you like to read or pray during our Sunday services? Readers and intercessors are important liturgical ministers, leading the congregation in readings from the Bible and in praying the Prayers of the People. If you would like to serve as a reader or intercessor, please contact the Rev. Terry Gleeson.
PANDEMIC PROCEDURES

Masks are welcome at all parish services and events, and we strongly encourage wearing masks when indoors. Masks are required for those who are not fully vaccinated and for those who are participating in our Sunday liturgies (clergy, choir members, other liturgical participants). Our goal is to create a climate where people feel comfortable and safe worshipping and to keep from contributing to the spread of Covid-19.

We ask your prayers for all of those in our community affected by the ongoing pandemic and for those who are caring for them.
