THE REV. CHANNING SMITH, RECTOR

Members of our parish community are there for each other in times that are good and in times that are difficult, and praying for each other is an important way that we share joy and support each other. Next week we will begin a service of prayer and healing in the Windsor campus Chapel at 5:30p.m. on Wednesdays. I invite you to join us then as we pray for each other and for those on our parish prayer list, and I invite you to join with each other and with God in prayer.

I look forward to worshipping with you online and in-person this Sunday and next Wednesday.
REnew | REstart | REform
BEGINNING WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 13

Our theme for this program year is REnew. Together we seek ways to renew our relationships with one another and grow in our relationship with God. One form of REnewal is formation. Click HERE to explore formation opportunities as we REstart our programs this year.

Coffee Hour Conversations begin this Sunday morning online immediately following our 10:30 a.m. worship services. The Rev. Channing Smith will share with us his insight on the theme of REnew from three perspectives: Sabbath (self), Resistance (community), and Mission (the world).

We are excited about all the ways we will REconnect over the fall. May we welcome this new program year with an openness to the REforming that God is about in our lives.
WEDNESDAYS ON WINDSOR DINNERS
5:00–7:00 PM | THE COMMON

You may also drive through and pick up your food! Click HERE for this week's menu (an Italian feast!) and to RSVP. You must RSVP by Monday, September 13.
OUTDOOR HOLY EUCHARIST AT WINDSOR
SUNDAYS 9:15 AM | THE COMMON

Join us as we gather on The Common with beautiful music, a cool breeze, and grandparents, kids, friends, and families gathered around.

We hope you will join us in this lovely setting for a shortened service of Holy Communion with music by members of Holy Ghost Supreme. You are welcome to bring your own blanket or chairs (we will also have chairs available), and wear your most comfortable, casual clothes. All are welcome!
CHORAL EVENSONG AT WINDSOR
SUNDAY 6:00 PM | CHURCH BUILDING

Choral Evensong, or evening prayer, has its origins in the monastic hours and is one of the treasures of the Anglican Communion. The church gathers in the evening to give thanks for the day that is ending, lifting up to God the needs and sorrows of our community and the world.
ONE BOOK ONE PARISH
The Art of Gathering by Priya Parker

“In a group, if everybody thinks about the other person’s needs, everyone’s needs are actually fulfilled in the end. But if you only think about yourself, you are breaking that contract."

We are excited about reading The Art of Gathering in hopes of helping us REimagine our gatherings and prepare to REform with great intention.

CONVERSATION WITH CHANNING
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 | 11:30 AM

Save the date for lunch and conversation with The Rev. Channing Smith after the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, September 26 at the Hill. Channing wants to hear from the Hill community about the many opportunities for ministry at Woodland. We hope that you’ll prayerfully consider your part in all that's happening at the Hill, and plan to be there on September 26!

PANDEMIC PROCEDURES

Masks are welcome at all parish services and events, and we strongly encourage wearing masks when indoors. Masks are required for those who are not fully vaccinated and for those who are participating in our Sunday liturgies (clergy, choir members, other liturgical participants). Our goal is to create a climate where people feel comfortable and safe worshipping and to keep from contributing to the spread of Covid-19.

We ask your prayers for all of those in our community affected by the ongoing pandemic and for those who are caring for them.
