THE REV. CHANNING SMITH, RECTOR

God joins us in the entirety of our experiences and provides the strength and guidance to reshape our wills and to provide an opening for renewal. Jesus blesses the poor and the poor in spirit because he knows and sees that God will renew them. May this week be filled for us with this same power for renewal.

I look forward to worshipping with you online and in-person this Sunday and next Wednesday.
REnew | REstart | REform

Our theme for this program year is REnew. Together we seek ways to renew our relationships with one another and grow in our relationship with God. One form of REnewal is formation. Click HERE to explore formation opportunities as we REstart our programs this year.

Our Coffee Hour Conversation for this Sunday will feature the Rev. Channing Smith, the Rev. Stanford Adams and Director of Programs, Aimee Bostwick, in a shared conversation about their learnings from The Art of Gathering by Priya Parker. How does this apply to our life together as a faith community REgathering after the past 18 months?

We are excited about all the ways we will REconnect over the fall. May we welcome this new program year with an openness to the REforming that God is about in our lives.

SUNDAYS | 9:30 AM

Please join us for breakfast between 9:30 and 10:15 a.m. in the Parish Hall. Thanks to Abby and Cole Johnston for bringing back breakfast at The Hill!

CONVERSATION WITH CHANNING
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 | 11:30 AM

Save the date for lunch and conversation with The Rev. Channing Smith after the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, September 26 at the Hill. Channing wants to hear from the Hill community about the many opportunities for ministry at Woodland. We hope that you’ll prayerfully consider your part in all that's happening at the Hill, and plan to be there.

PANDEMIC PROCEDURES

Masks are welcome at all parish services and events, and we strongly encourage wearing masks when indoors. Masks are required for those who are not fully vaccinated and for those who are participating in our Sunday liturgies (clergy, choir members, other liturgical participants). Our goal is to create a climate where people feel comfortable and safe worshipping and to keep from contributing to the spread of COVID-19.

We ask your prayers for all of those in our community affected by the ongoing pandemic and for those who are caring for them.
