The VOCA Bridge needs to be fixed NOW!

WHAT?

MACA is joining the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance and other victim service agencies in a social media takeover. We hope to plaster all platforms with posts demanding that the VOCA Bridge be fixed.

We must get the ATTENTION of the legislature

PARTICULARLY HOUSE LEADERSHIP

and have

OUR VOICES HEARD!

WHEN?

Thursday, April 7th from 10am-12pm!

WHERE?

All social media platforms!

WHY?

The VOCA Bridge is a multi-year $60 million funding request to the MA Legislature to bridge impending cuts to VOCA programs in order to maintain victim services. Victim service programs are a critical component to ensure victims are supported in the aftermath of crime.

The VOCA Bridge seeks to support and stabilize these critical victim services throughout the Commonwealth and ensure access to trauma-informed care remain accessible after July 1, 2022.

HOW?

[4 Simple Steps!]

1. Post between 10am-12pm on your social media platform of choice. Feel free to generate your own post, or use the graphic created by MOVA.

2. Caption your post with a call for the #VOCABridge to be fixed NOW, so victims of child abuse, exploitation, and other survivors do not go unserved! MOVA has also generated some caption ideas for your use!

3. Tag your legislators! Find your legislators here, and use these directions to indirectly tag them all!

4. Make sure to include: Fix the #VOCABridge, #childabuseawareness

#childabuseprevention

#SAAM2022
