April Newsletter

2026

Dear Friends, Family, & my Neighbors of District 33b,

Serving you in the Maryland House of Delegates is a responsibility I take seriously every single day. My focus remains simple: fight for our community, keep you informed, and make sure your voice is heard in Annapolis.

Your input matters and I encourage you to stay engaged, reach out, and share your thoughts with me at any time. As a true bi-partisan legislator, I will make every vote with your position(s) in mind. It is truly an honor to represent District 33B.

Sincerely,

Delegate Stuart "Coach Stu" Schmidt, Jr.

Engaging with TeenPact’s Future Christian Leaders

It was a pleasure to be the host and sponsor for nearly 100 students from TeenPact Leadership Schools who are learning about leadership & the role they can play in shaping their communities, government & future. Seeing their overwhelming enthusiasm & commitment to making a difference was truly impressive & inspiring. - Thank You!

Give Life. Be a Donor.

Delegate Schmidt experienced the loss of his friend, Junior, who passed away from a heart attack. In the face of that tragedy, Junior’s family made the selfless decision to donate his organs, helping save the lives of others.

Stuart Schmidt Jr. carries not only his name, but also a meaningful connection to his childhood friend. Named in part in honor of Junior, he continues to carry on his legacy by supporting organ donation and raising awareness about the life-saving impact it can have.
