Join Us in the Seattle Pride Parade!

Dear East Shore Members and Friends,

The East Shore Welcoming Congregations Team is once again organizing a great pride parade! Join us along with other UUs to march in the parade. All are welcome!

To ensure you get the latest updates and so we have a headcount, please register here.

Currently, our step off time is 2:40 p.m. but because things can change last minute and we have specific steps to follow, we are asking for you to let us know you are coming. We meet in Downtown Seattle at 4th Avenue between Jefferson and Yesler Overpass. Please arrive at 1:30pm as that is when marchers will be allowed onto our block. You will not be able to enter after 2:00 p.m. so it's crucial to arrive within this window to participate. Please plan accordingly!

Not sure if you want to come? Check out this video of the amazing time we had last year!

Here are some additional details:

Getting To and From The March:

  • Meeting Point: We meet in Downtown Seattle at 4th Avenue between Jefferson and Yesler Overpass.
  • Arrival Time: Please arrive at 1:30pm as that is when marchers will be allowed onto our block. You will not be able to enter after 2:00 p.m. so it’s crucial to arrive within this window to participate. Please plan accordingly!
  • Getting Home: The end point of the march is at Denny Way and Broad Street, 2 miles from where we start. Again, please Plan accordingly. Busses, monorail, walking, car-shuttling are all possible strategies.
  • Have a Buddy-Group: Please buddy up and self-organize your transportation. There are far too many variables for this to be centrally coordinated.

Accessibility:

  • Personal Wheels: Wagons, strollers, wheelchairs and electric scooters are welcome!
  • We will NOT have a car this year, so please plan to carry any items you bring.
  • Leaving Early: If you need to leave during the parade for any reason, you can, but re-entry isn’t permitted.

What to Bring:

  • Attire: Consider wearing a nametag and your ESUC Shirt, side of love shirt, or any pride shirt!
  • Personal Items: Please bring your own water, sunscreen, snacks, etc., and plan to carry them.
  • Handouts: We will provide handouts, but if you have something pride-appropriate to distribute, that’s great too!
  • Banners and Equipment: We have a group banner and a smaller ESUC banner; we’ll rotate who helps carry them.

Contacts:

  • Contact: For any questions, contact Nicole Duff or David Langrock.
  • On-site Coordination: Look for Nicole Duff or David Langrock for on-site coordination. You can text Nicole at 425-686-8116.

Carpool Information:
