Welcome to Presbytery of the Miami Valley!
We are fortunate to have several new pastors who have recently joined our presbytery. This is one of a series of articles to introduce and welcome them as they begin their ministries with congregations within our presbytery.
Joshua Rodriguez: Westminster Presbyterian Church, Piqua
The Rev. Joshua Rodriguez will begin his ministry at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Piqua, on September 1. Josh is a passionate follower of Jesus. He came to faith in high school through a small country church in Marion, Indiana, where he is from. He has been part of churches from several denominations, but found a home in the reformed tradition during seminary. After graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010, he received his Master of Divinity and M.A. from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2015.

In between college and seminary, Josh served First Presbyterian Church in Montrose Colorado. It was in that congregation that Josh joined the Presbyterian church, and the Western Slope Presbytery nurtured Josh’s call to be an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament. Following seminary, Josh served as an Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville.

Josh lovingly shares life with his beautiful bride of 11 years, Abigail, and their two children, Jameson (7) and Everly (4). Abigail is self-employed as a certified Enneagram Teacher and Stress Coach where she partners with people as they try to make sense of their lives and invites them to take on a posture of curiosity about themselves and others. Jameson has a ton of passion and a tender heart. He loves Taekwondo and exploring the outdoors. Everly is four years old, and she is a wonderful mix of spunk and sweetness. She loves to wear “something fancy,” but she never lets it slow her down.
