Community Health Needs Assessment
Kim Gilhuly at a CHNA presentation
A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) helps hospitals and insurers target funding for community benefits.

Under the Affordable Care Act, non-profit hospitals are required to demonstrate they are responding to health needs in their communities, and Community Health Needs Assessments help them do that. CHNAs are required once every three years.

CHNAs have been completed for eight area hospitals and community presentations were held throughout the region sharing the data in the findings.

For more information on Community Health Needs Assessments or to read the reports from your area hospital click here .
