Rivka will be leading us on a short walk around the Barn to discuss various local herbs and plants so bring your questions for the clinical herbalist! She will also be making and serving some cooling beverages with electrolytes for us to sample.

In her own words:

I have been privileged to work as an herbalist for about 15 years and turned this into an herbal healthcare business about 4 years ago.

In my practice, I care for the health and wellbeing of individuals: from prevention of disease to working with acute and chronic conditions.

This is through compassionate, personalized care; education; and empowering individuals to develop skills for a healthy life.

I also love to teach community classes in healthy cooking, fermenting and herbal remedies.

I own Health & Hearth in Nashua, New Hampshire; I also lead plant walks and teach at Beaver Brook Association.

I studied herbal medicine here in New England and am certified as a wellness coach by the Mayo clinic.

I use this knowledge and years of experience in my own home, where I keep a constant supply of homemade fermented vegetables,

nutritious foods, and herbal remedies to help keep my family healthy.

Plein Air Painting Opportunity for our Members

Did you know that August 31st is National Eat Outside Day? In honor of this rather obscure holiday, Kimball Fruit Farm is having a special dinner with musical guests and an opportunity for us to come set up our easels and take advantage of their gorgeous view for a plein air painting session.

More details will be discussed at our Wednesday night meeting and if you have specific questions you may call our President Dee Haddad at 603-204-4519 or simply reply to this email. Otherwise, plan on arriving in the mid afternoon on Saturday 8/31.
