We hope you'll join us tomorrow at Smith Park and Plaza Park to celebrate Independence Day beginning at 9:00 a.m. Our annual tradition will feature a parade, food, activities for kids and much, much more.

In addition, please note that City Hall will have new business hours beginning on July 8, 2019. City Hall will be open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Now, here's what's making news for the week of July 3, 2019:
City Council accepts small parcel
from the San Gabriel Trench project
In a unanimous vote, the City Council voted to accept a small parcel of land from the San Gabriel Trench project. As part of the completion of the San Gabriel Trench project, the City is required to accept all permanent tie-back easement interests at the completion of the project.

Celebrate Independence Day
in San Gabriel
San Gabriel, we hope you'll join us tomorrow morning at Plaza Park and Smith Park as we host another Kids' Day and 4th of July Parade beginning at 9:00 a.m. Our parade will begin in the Mission District at Plaza Park and travel northbound along Mission Drive, then east on Broadway.

We'll also be hosting a barbecue, picnic games, community booths and more at Smith Park. We hope you'll join us for this festive celebration!
July is Parks Make Life Better month
The City of San Gabriel invites you to celebrate the month of July as Parks Make Life Better Month! Parks Make Life Better Month celebrates the many benefits that parks offer to our residents.

The Community Services Department offers a variety of activities and programs that bring value to the lives of our residents by providing outdoor spaces for play and exercise. The department also offers engaging activities for youth that connect our friends and neighbors.
Sign up for musical theatre summer camp today
Do you know someone between the ages of 8 to 17 that loves theatre? Sign them up for the San Gabriel Valley Music Theatre's summer camp Summer Stock for Students! The program begins July 15 at the Mission Playhouse and continues through August 3.

Students will have the opportunity to take classes in acting, singing, dance, character creation, improvisation, stage craft and a chance to perform in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr." on the Playhouse stage!
Community Development debuts new development report
