We are almost  two weeks away from our annual fundraising event!

We invite you to join us on Thursday, June 4 from 6-7:30 p.m for our virtual state-wide celebration of the philanthropic community, and Community Shares of Colorado! We are honored to be hosting this year's Summer Celebration with our esteemed guest, Adrian E. Miller.
Adrian is an author, soul food scholar, former General Counsel and Director of Outreach at the Bell Policy Center for Colorado, as well as former point person for Governor Ritter's Colorado Campaign to End Childhood Hunger. Learn more about Adrian here.

Adrian will do a cooking demonstration of some of his favorite recipes!

PADDLE RAISER:
This year through the help of staff, board members, community members, and vendors, we will host our Paddle Raiser LIVE during the Summer Celebration program.

Last year, you helped us raise over $18,000 through pledges and contributions during our paddle raiser portion of the program.
This tremendous act of faith in our work helped to support Community Shares of Colorado's mission of connecting Coloradans to charities and causes they care about most and our vision of encouraging everyday philanthropy through small, incremental giving. 


This year our goal is to raise $20,000

New 2020 Summer Celebration Offering

INTRODUCING OUR EVENT BOXES!
(Made for two people to enjoy)

This year Community Shares partnered with Eventful Productions, Inc. to produce a special event box that you can purchase on our  Microsite! Get inspired during the cooking demonstration and enjoy a special treat with us virtually!

This box will include a ton of good stuff but we'll let you in on a little secret: It includes a special DIY Macaroni & Cheese recipe created by our long-time partner Occasions Catering inspired by Adrian E. Miller! This special box will also include a special dessert and a spiked summer beverage for two! 

How will I receive my box you ask? No worries!  Eventful Productions will coordinate the delivery to your home between 
Wednesday, June 3- Thursday, June 4. Deliveries will be made throughout the Greater Denver Metropolitan Area.

Why is the color Orange a significant part of this year's Summer Celebration theme?

This year as we focus on food equity and social justice, we're acknowledging the importance of hunger awareness in the State of Colorado and across the country. 

Although orange is a color that signifies many initiatives, it is the official color of Hunger Awareness. We want you to engage with us on how we can make a difference for Coloradans in need especially during these difficult times and continued awareness of COVID-19 impact. 

As a nonprofit community and greater community within the state, we are all working to support initiatives that address essential needs including shelter, health care, and of course food.
