Life can move us in many directions...
...and sometimes it moves us to a different city or state! Myra Albert was a Settlement alum who, despite moving away from the Philadelphia area, was able to rejoin our community through Settlement Music Online, accessing our programming remotely.
"This fall joining Sharon has been an amazing experience!" says Myra of her voice teacher, Sharon Neff. "She helped me recover my singing voice so much, only in the first few lessons! I highly recommend Sharon for anyone wanting to learn to sing, or even get their voice back in shape!"

A chance for ensembles to perform for and receive feedback from pianist Dynasty Battles. An alumnus of our Germantown Branch, Battles has performed George Walker’s Piano Sonata No. 1 in a private engagement at the composer’s home, and was recognized by AL DÍA as a “40 Under Forty” honoree in 2020. Battles studies with internationally acclaimed pianist Leon Bates, and has also studied with Jonathan Coopersmith, Chair of Musical Studies at the Curtis Institute of Music.
