City of Battle Creek
The City of Battle Creek reopened to the public City Hall and the Police Department, on a limited basis, starting today. Hours for both buildings are 9-10 a.m. for seniors 60 and older, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for visitors of all ages. Visitors will stop at a kiosk in both lobbies to complete a short self-screening form, and we ask visitors to wear a face covering, and follow the six-foot social distance markings.
City Hall –
The payment window will be open for drop-in visits. Customers also still can deposit payments into the large, blue drop box in the parking lot. Appointments are available for Assessing, City Clerk, Income Tax, and Inspections. Make appointments at battlecreekmi.gov/coronavirus, and click City Operations Updates on the left.
Police Department –
The BCPD cannot provide fingerprinting services at this time. Call the Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center to make a fingerprinting appointment, 269-781-0880. There is a drop box in the PD entryway to receive gun permits; you do not need to screen to use this box. The Red Med Box is available inside the lobby for expired and unused medications; you must complete the screening form to use this box.
