CHINO, CA (July 1, 2025) -- Effective today, the Animal Resource Center of the Inland Empire (ARC) has begun providing animal care and services for member agencies, including Chino, Montclair, Ontario, and select unincorporated areas of West San Bernardino County.

Animal services for its member agencies were previously provided by the Inland Valley Humane Society (IVHS). Montclair’s contract with IVHS ended on June 18, 2025. Ontario and Chino’s contracts with IVHS expired on June 30, 2025.

ARC will offer licensing, sheltering, pet adoptions, foster and volunteer opportunities, wildlife response, lost and found support, and other animal services from its temporary facility located at 1630 Shearwater Street, Ontario. A permanent facility in Ontario is currently under design with a projected opening date of mid-2027.

Existing pet license records within ARC’s service areas have been automatically transferred from IVHS to ARC, and ARC will continue using DocuPet for licensing. ARC has dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens available for adoption.
