Hello JES Families,

As we head into the last week of February, I think it's safe to say that we all are looking forward to warmer weather. Please keep watching the weather so that students come to school prepared for the various weather conditions as we go outside most days for recess.

Parent Teacher conferences are Thursday, Feb. 25th and Tuesday, March 2nd. If you haven’t signed up yet, here is the link: https://www.myconferencetime.com/jes/

Students have been great wearing their masks during the day except for when they eat. Using their own water bottles and frequent hand washing has been an established routine. Our students ROCK!!

Reading Makes You A Happy Camper! PTO Read-a-thon continues through February 26th. Please encourage your child to record their number of minutes they read each day on the minute tracker form. Read-A-Thon Forms. Please encourage your child to keep reading as well as helping to raise funds for our school through our Parent Teacher Organization

Does your child ride a bus? It's National Bus Driver Appreciation the week of Feb. 25-29th. It’s a very important job in getting your child to and from school each day. A note or verbal “thank you” goes a long way to show your appreciation for what these drivers do each day.

If your child is in the Online Learning Academy, the next learning supply pick up is Wed., Feb. 27th from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Materials are labeled with your child’s name and are on the table in the vestibule outside the office. Please make sure to ask your child’s teacher if you have anything to pick up.

Thanks for all you do for your child in their learning –we appreciate and value our time with your child at JES. Let me know if I can help in any way.
