Planning ahead to 2022-2023 School Year
The 2022-2023 School Year Calendar is available on the district website. Current school start and end times will remain in place when the district welcomes students back on Tuesday, September 6th. Our school day will start at 8:30 am and end at 3:00 pm.

Connect & Assess Days - August 30 & 31
Kindergarten through 5th grade students are invited to meet their teacher and complete a brief learning assessment during Connect & Assess. Look for event details & sign-up links later in August.

Grading/Progress Reports
As we approach the end of the school year, we want to explain how grading will be communicated for students in Elementary School. Courses and learning at the Elementary School level are full year courses, and our instruction and grading practices for these courses reflect this. Therefore, learning does not reset after each artificial “grading period” as learning and growth continues throughout the course of the full year. Gradebooks at the Elementary level reflect this reality. Performance on learning is assessed on four levels - click here to see the descriptions of the four learning levels.

Learning from Trimester 1, 2, and 3 has been tracked to create a final cumulative grade at the end of the school year. The final cumulative grade will be posted to the Elementary Standards Based Report Card at the end of the school year and will be available for you to view on Tuesday, June 14th. Click here for video directions.

Summer Access to Subscriptions
Many of the online subscriptions that have been available to students over the past school year will be available this summer (such as IXL). Students can check to see if their subscription is still active by clicking on the appropriate tile on the student home page. 3rd through 5th graders can access subscriptions by logging into their school issued Chromebook. KDG - 2nd grade students would need to log into their school account (@isd112.org) on a home device - video directions or written directions.
Summer Reading for Students in Grades 3-5
Get a jump start on the Maud Hart Lovelace reading for next year. Remember Read three of the below titles to participate in the voting party. All books are available at the Carver County Library and will be available in the media center fall of 2022. Happy Summer Reading!

Chromebooks
Students who do not want to keep a Chromebook over the summer should contact your school or email us at 112Chromehelp@district112.org or call us 952-556-7777 to make arrangements including completing required forms to drop off your chromebook and charger. You will receive the same chromebook once school starts in the fall of 2022.

Nutrition Services Update
The temporary federal funding that allowed free meals for all students for the last two years will expire at the end of the 21-22 school year. You can start depositing money into your student’s lunch account at any time for next school year using this https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome

Please note: Kindergarten breakfast will remain free for all kindergarteners next year as it has in the past. This is a pre-covid program and is not changing.

Come explore your feelings in this interactive camp designed to help students learn about, manage and identify emotions.
