Better Together… what an unusual line! And yet what a true line. We really are better together.

I like being around the wonderful people of the Joplin District. There seems to be a strong camaraderie among the leaders, and when they get the opportunity, they really don’t mind being together. I appreciate the fact that when life has been a little tough, someone can come alongside us and lift our spirits.

I like it when we fully know we are not walking the road alone. The world loves to pull us off to the side, to the back of the ‘herd’, and then pounce on us, tearing us from limb to limb. That can happen when we pull away.

But if we stay together, the enemy can’t get to the “one” because the whole pack turns to the one’s defense.

So, no matter what you are facing, no matter the loneliness, no matter the pain, no matter our thoughts, we really are better together.
