The One

Darrel Cripe has reminded us of how important it is to have ‘your one’. It is easy to be excited at District Assembly or M25 and walk out saying, “I’m going to do that; I’m getting my ‘one’. However, weeks turn into months, and we have not responded to what the Spirit asked us to do. He gave us the face and the name, and we promised ourselves we would do our part, but the reality is, we have not.

What will it take for you to get serious about souls that, without Christ, will spend an eternity in a place of everlasting fire? What must happen for you to do what you are supposed to do/ what you agreed to do?

He was 31, our nephew, and searching for peace. Bad decisions and out of control drinking led to an out-of-control vehicle swerving into an oncoming car. In an instant he went into eternity. I wonder if he was someone’s “one”?

I want to affect my ‘one for Jesus, and I am praying for the person who will connect with my daughter and son-in-law and influence them in their spiritual walk and back to the Lord. Maybe I am the answer to someone else’s prayers for their child, grandchild, nephew, and neighbor to influence them for Christ. Maybe you are!

“Lord, open our eyes and help us to see; fill us with strength and passion to affect our ‘One’ and maybe even affect somebody else’s ‘One.’.” Amen
