A Message from Monsignor Merdian.....
Hello Parents:

Welcome back to Jordan Catholic School! To our new families, we are excited and happy to have you. To our returning families, welcome back as we so need to begin this school year. Mr. Smithers and the teachers and staff have been doing a great job and working hard to make this happen. Thanks for your participation and patience. Let's continue to pray and do our part to keep the virus away from the school and our families.

As we continue our mission of helping your children and families to become saints and to be together in heaven one day, I look forward to partnering with you. We work as partners when our families attend Mass together on Sunday, so that what they are receiving in school is backed up by practice at home. When you help your kids at home with the regular subjects as well as with religion, it provides a faith learning experience to help us all grow in our love of God. God has given us all these gifts and we want to be grateful for them. This past Sunday, I mentioned three things that we could take from the Gospel of Matthew 7, if we are truly going to be disciples of Jesus, our Lord. They are,
1. We have to learn to deny ourselves and put Jesus first at all times.
2. We have to learn to embrace and joyfully carry the crosses Jesus gives us to walk with throughout our lives
3. We have to learn to follow Christ alone.

Let's all work on these together with our respective pastors and parishes and Churches so that our school will be a beacon of light, goodness, holiness and love for Jesus. Welcome back everyone!

Msgr Merdian

I am missing a number of forms requiring signatures. If you have not sent these forms back to school, please do so now. Click the Link below to view, print out, return. If you need me to send a hard copy, let me know. Also, ask your child if they have turned them into their homeroom teacher. In some cases I have one sibling's form, but not another's.....may still be in their backpack?

School Masses will start the week of September 8th.
K-4 students will attend Mass on Tuesdays at 8:30am.
5-8 students will attend Mass on Thursdays at 8:30am.
Monsignor is asking for two volunteers after each Mass to help clean the church after the children leave.
School personnel are extremely busy keeping our school building clean, so we are in need of parent volunteers. You will be provided with the cleaning products and trained to use the sprayer. We have one volunteer for Thursdays, but need more help and 'subs' when needed.
Please contact Sandy Carlsten at 309.793.7350 x214 or scarlsten@jordanschool.com.
