Happy Mother's Day from Monsignor Merdian....
She could not give her children gold,
So she gave them faith to have and hold.
She could not give them royal birth...
A name renowned throughout the earth.
But she gave them seeds and garden spot
And shade trees when the sun was hot.
She could not give a silver spoon
Or servants waiting night and noon.
She gave them love and a listening ear
And told them God was always near.
She could not give them ocean trips
Aboard majestic sailing ships.
But she gave them books and quiet time,
Adventures found in prose and rhyme.
She could not give them worldly things
But what she gave was fit for kings.
For with her faith and books and sod,
She made each child aware of God.

PARISH NEWS
Fr. Luke sure does miss all of his parishioners and parish families! Parishes across the country are starting to honor their pastors during this difficult time with Appreciation Drive-By Parades from parishioners as a way to say "thank you" for all that our pastors are doing to stay in touch with parishioners via online Masses and other means.

We, along with St. Mary's, would like to honor Fr. Luke with an APPRECIATION DRIVE-THRU & BLESSING!
This will take place on Sunday, May 10 (Mother's Day!).

Simply drive down to Sacred Heart and line up in the driveway next to the rectory office starting at 10:30 a.m. (So, right after our online 9:45 a.m. Mass). You'll have a chance to drive by the porch where Fr. Luke will be and say hello! Decorate your car with Fr. Luke signs if you want, and great creative! He'll also bless you and your vehicles! All mother's should definitely try and stop down for a special blessing this Mother's Day!
This appreciation drive thru will last until noon or until the last car has gone through!
