For those age 70 ½ - please pass this info along....
There is good news if you have reached age 70 ½ and you would like to help (your parish, school, ministry). If you have an IRA, the government requires you to take out a certain amount each year and be subject to federal tax. However, the law allows you to donate this amount directly to (your parish, school, ministry) during 2019 and have it distributed free of federal income tax!
What a wonderful opportunity for those 70 ½ to help (parish, school, ministry). Please contact the person that handles your retirement plan or your tax advisor .

On Saturday, October 12th, in Rockford the Pacers ran their sectional meet. The girls team placed fourth, narrowly missing a team bid to the state meet. The boys team placed seventh, but we do have one young man that qualified and ran in the state meet as an individual. Way to go Danny!! 
Nate Hein was nominated and participated in St. Ambrose University Middle School Honor Band on Saturday, November 2, 2019. He rehearsed the entire day and performed a concert with students from eighteen different schools in the area. Congratulations Nate!

Blue Army of Our Lady
The Blue Army of Our Lady is a new initiative at Jordan Catholic School for students in 3yr PK through Grade Four. This initiative is intended to be a source of renewal within the Church and in the world by raising up children that are willing to pray and sacrifice for the conversion of poor sinners. Information is coming home this week. The program will run from 7:30 to 7:45 am and Mrs. Jacqui Dodson & Ms. Debbie Patronagio will assist Fr. Freehill in organizing and carrying out this good work.
