2019 Summer Reading Program
With the recent release of students from school for the summer, the library is offering more than 17,000 children in Josephine County a FREE Summer Reading Program to combat "
summer slide."
Children, teens, and adults can sign up for the Summer Reading Program at any branch of Josephine Community Library in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek.
Funding for the Summer Reading Program is made possible each year by the Oregon State Library Ready to Read Grant.

All four library branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek will be closed on
Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Josephine Community Library no longer charges fines on children and teen items.
Eliminating fines ensures that all youth will have access to library books and materials and are able to participate in this year’s Summer Reading Program from June 22 through August 3.
Patrons will continue to be responsible for lost and damaged materials. After 20 days, replacement costs will be charged for lost items.
