We're excited to be volunteering at the Chiefs home games this year after missing last fall, but we're in danger of losing this amazing source of camp income because we don't have enough volunteers. We were unable to work the game on 09/26, and if this continues, we won't have the opportunity to work more games. This will greatly impact the number of scholarships next year, so please keep that in mind when considering signing up to volunteer. Parents are invited to sign up and earn funds toward their child's camp fees next summer. At minimum, you will earn $120.00 per game!

Every volunteer must attend the trainings first, POLICIES, FOOD HANDLER, and TEAM- and you have the option of taking everything virtually online, or attending in person. If you don't want to cashier, you don't need to take TEAM. I've listed the upcoming dates below. Click on one and register as soon as you can! I have also included a button below for you to sign up for games. We'd love to have you join us! October is National Bullying Prevention Month and we'll be sharing ways you can make a difference, national statistics, and how to talk with your child about bullying.

Our kids are at greater risk for being bullied, according to Pacer's National Bullying Center. Check out their 5 Important Facts on Students with Disabilities and Bullying, where you'll find information, templates, and self-advocacy plans. Each class is an hour and meets twice a month in the following locations: Kansas City, Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, Olathe, Pleasant Valley, and Oak Grove. Every class always has two education professionals and they use our Me and My World Social Skills Games and Curriculum which was developed by us beginning in 2008. We also have two Young Adult groups that meet at the Joshua Center for ages 18-25. You can register on our website. Once you register we will send you all the information and directions for your location and class time.
