College athletics are in the middle of seismic legal and regulatory changes with an uncertain future. Institutions are navigating new and complex challenges ranging from the growing impact of name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities to questions about student-athlete employment status and concerns around the future structure of college sports. This online symposium and accompanying fall special issue of the Journal of College and University Law (JCUL), published by NACUA and edited by L. Lee Tyner, General Counsel, Texas Christian University, will explore some of the most pressing athletics issues currently confronting colleges and universities.
