My uncle is a recreational jogger who enjoys 5k and 10K weekend runs in his retirement. It has been spoken of him of the wonder of the "second wind". A new surge of energy arrives when you mentally believe you are unable to run the next 100 yards. Breathing is not labored. Legs are not deadweight. Pace is initiated by you! Scripture promises a spiritual second wind for those who maintain the courage to trust in God, in their understanding of Divine intervention, patience, and their dependent expectation. Our particular race or struggle is not relinquished. Hebrews 12 teaches us this concept! How are we pacing ourselves spiritually for the second wind of spiritual authority of  Christ's Love, Wonder, and Grace?

Let us recall the words of the ancient prophet Isaiah.

The Lord gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. (Isa.40.29)

Blessings,

Pastor Jim
