NEWS

View the webinar: Alongside Hope's partnership with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank

Alongside Hope is one of 15 members that makes up the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, a Christian response to hunger. This webinar introduced viewers to the projects and partners that Alongside Hope currently supports through the Foodgrains Bank. Mary Obiero, Humanitarian and Development Director at Church World Service Africa, and Naba Gurung, Alongside Hope’s Humanitarian Relief Coordinator, joined from Kenya to describe the recent context of international assistance and how CWS and Alongside Hope responded through their membership in the Foodgrains Bank. The webinar also shared ways that individuals and parishes could get involved. Watch the webinar today!

Become a Partner in Hope and support partners every month

You're probably already subscribed to a few things — streaming services, meal kits, maybe your favourite magazine. They show up each month without you having to think about it.

What if one of your subscriptions changed lives?

By becoming a monthly donor to Alongside Hope, you’re choosing a subscription that delivers hope. Steady meals, essential health care, and new opportunities for families facing crisis. It’s simple, reliable, and makes a difference every single day.

It's not too late to journey through Lent with Alongside Hope

Lent may have begun last week, but there’s still plenty of time to join us in engaging with our Lenten resource, Wild Paths of Peace. Written by Martha Jarvis, this series explores the hope of peacemaking in a world marked by conflict — both globally and within our own lives.

As the Anglican Communion’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Jarvis works to build partnerships between churches and UN teams responding to conflict, climate change, and the displacement of people. She has also supported church-led peace efforts in South Sudan and Mozambique. Through these experiences, she has witnessed the power of reconciliation—people returning to one another after division, and ultimately returning to faith through Jesus.

This resource is available for download, or you can subscribe below to receive it as a free daily email throughout Lent.
