Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
Humility deepens worship. Repentance is humbly returning to God.
The word "worship" in Hebrew is " shachah." It means to bow down before someone as an act of submission or reverence. Sincere worship thus includes lifting our Lord God up while we are humbled as if at His feet. Psalm 99 captures this perfectly:
The Lord reigns;
Let the peoples tremble!
He dwells between the cherubim;
Let the earth be moved!
The Lord is great in Zion,
And He is high above all the peoples. Let them praise Your great and awesome name—
He is holy.
The King’s strength also loves justice;
You have established equity;
You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His footstool—
He is holy.
Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
And Samuel was among those who called upon His name;
They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.
He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar;
They kept His testimonies and the ordinance He gave them.
You answered them, O Lord our God;
You were to them God-Who-Forgives,
Though You took vengeance on their deeds.
Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His holy hill;
For the Lord our God is holy.
Worship brings in the Presence of the Lord. When Solomon had the temple built, he called the levites who were the trumpeters and singers to gather, and when they " lifted up their voice as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: 'For He is LORD good, For His mercy endures forever,' then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God." 2 Chronicles 5:13-14.
Worship can be beautiful when we worship together, but it is special when you or I direct it personally to our Lord God Almighty. Instead of stale songs from a religious tradition, the Lord has to love fresh worship even in the marketplace with the power of one's indwelling Holy Spirit, perhaps including one's heavenly language. (1 Corinthians 12:10). JOY will follow worship of the Living God!
Jesus was clear about worship: " But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.". (John 4: 23).
In contrast, satan wants everyone to worship him. In the wilderness for forty days, satan constantly tempted Jesus. Satan's third major temptation is captured in Matthew 3:8-11: " Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, ' All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.' Then Jesus said to him, ' Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.' Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him."
The Anti-Christ embodies this wicked spirit. Social media today promotes self worship, giving rise to pride, which is an eternal abomination to the Lord. (Proverbs 6:17).
Today is the day instead to build up your worship of the Living God and reject all false worship. His JOY will follow. "Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God." (Colossians 2:18-19).
And in His Perfect Timing, this Truth from Psalm 22: 27-28 will come to pass: " All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations shall worship before You. For the Kingdom is the LORD's, and He rules over the nations. "
Humming or singing your own simple worship song, speaking in your heavenly language, adoring Him in your own way that He knows intimately, begins to resemble the twenty four elders before the throne of God:
"Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: 'You are worthy, O LORD, to receive glory and honor and power, For Your created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.'" Revelation 4: 9-11
