Joyfully Catholic

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace...Romans 15:13

Dear Principals and Directors,

As we embark on a new school year, I want to extend my heartfelt prayers for a joyous and fulfilling school year for each of you. Your dedication to shaping the minds and souls of our students is inspiring, and I am confident that your leadership will continue to encourage excellence in both the academic and spiritual growth of our students. May God's grace and wisdom guide you in all your endeavors, and may this year be filled with abundant blessings and abounding joy for you and your entire school community.

Blessings,

Karen Kroh

FRIENDZY

VIRTUS COMPLIANCE

Following Bishop Johnston’s proclamation last year regarding all school employees being completely VIRTUS compliant before being in the school building, the Office of Child and Youth Protection (OCYP) is actively monitoring your school’s VIRTUS account to ensure your employees are completely compliant as we begin the school year.

Please ensure your teachers, staff, and substitute teachers who did not return for this school year are removed from the system. Also, all current employees must be in complete compliance (Signed Ethics in Ministry document, completed background check, Protecting God’s Children training and bulletins are up to date, and Mandated Reporter training indicated on their VIRTUS account and copy of the certificate on file ) prior to stepping into you school building.

Yesterday, OCYP did initial monitoring of our schools, and a majority of our schools had compliance issues to address. Please be aware, your school’s VIRTUS account will be monitored by OCYP routinely through the beginning of the school year and throughout the school year.  Thanks in advance for your time and attention to ensuring the safety of our students.
