WCA LEGAL UPDATE

JUDICIAL PRIVACY ACT UPDATE

As previously discussed, WCA General Counsel Attolles Law has been working on a memorandum discussing the important updates to the Judicial Privacy Act contained in 2025 Wisconsin Act 25, which became law last month.

The memo has been reviewed by WCA Staff, WRDA and other stakeholders and can be found here or below.

As indicated in the memo, it is important for counties to continue their work with corporation counsel, county clerk and register of deeds to ensure appropriate implementation of the important privacy protections for judicial officers and their families.
