April 30 - Island Series Regional Shiai, Nanaimo

Planning on traveling with Team BC to Open Nationals in Montreal?
Please register by March 11th so that we can book the appropriate number of flights - http://www.trackiereg.com/2022eamBCOpenNationals. The team will depart from various location on May 18 and return on May 25. This option is highly recommended for all youth age athletes (18 and younger) and all Team BC coaches. A separate registration will be open in mid March for everyone not wanting to travel with the team - seniors, veterans, kata competitors, referees, evaluators, club coaches etc...

Just announced:
A kata clinic will be held in conjunction with the Pacific International on Friday, April 15th. All the details and registration will be available shortly.
Great News!

"The BC Games Society and the Greater Vernon 2022 BC Winter Games Society are pleased to announce new dates for the Games, originally scheduled for this month. The Games, expected to attract up to 1,800 participants in 17 sport competitions, will now be held March 23 to 26, 2023."" - www.bcgames.org

Judo athletes selected to attend the games 2022 will have the opportunity to be re selected providing they continue to train and attend Youth Provincials in 2023. The updated selection process will be available in the coming weeks.

We all have a role to play to ensure that sport can remain safe, smart and secure for everyone. That’s why we are supporting the national Responsible Coaching Movement campaign aimed at encouraging sport organizations to take the RCM pledge as a first step in helping to foster a safe and positive sport environment for all.Simply download the RCM Marketing Toolkit, which your organization can use to help support the RCM campaign. In preparation for this campaign, the RCM logo has been refreshed, along with other marketing assets. We encourage your organization to make use of this material and refresh your content as needed.

National Referee Evaluation - 2022 Pacific International
Judo Canada is offering National referee certification at the 2022 Pacific International. Priorities will be given to the ones that were registered for the March 2020 exam. A maximum of 10 candidates will be accepted. Only candidates with complete form and payment will be accepted. Deadline of application is
March 2.

 Peak Judo Job Posting
Peak Judo club is looking for new coaches to join their team. They are specifically looking for judo coaches who can work evenings (Monday and Wednesday).

This position is perfect for someone looking for part time hours (in school, working alongside another job etc.).

A successful candidate will begin as an assistant coach with the opportunity to become the main coach for the classes.
KidSport's MOVE 430 Challenge
The MOVE430 challenge is a virtual event that challenges you to move for 30 minutes each day in April.

Simply commit to any MOVEment, such as, judo, running, walking, hiking, climbing, yoga, cycling, swimming, workout for at least 30 minutes for 30 consecutive days beginning April 1st, 2022 and track it to complete the challenge!
