Judo Restart Plan
As stated in previous newsletters, not all clubs are able to restart at this time due to a number of factors including access to facilities and coach/volunteer availability. Please contact your club directly for more details on their plans for the summer and the fall.
2022 BC Winter Games
For the 2022 BC Winter Games taking place in Vernon February 24 to 27, 2022, Zone Representatives will be selecting athletes for their teams by December 2021.  Athletes born in the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 and that will be orange belt or higher (at the time of the games) are eligible.

Priority selection will be given to athletes that have accumulated the most points from the following list:

1 point per Judo BC sanctioned or out of province shiai or camp
1 point for selection to the Provincial Team Program
0.5 points per Judo BC recognized regional practice

Minimum criteria is 6 points however each zone will still be allocated 5 male and 5 female athletes regardless of points so talk to your zone rep about what will be required for you.

Those selected for their zone will be expected to participate in the U16 category for the 2022 Youth Provincial Championships in Langford on February 2022 prior to the games

Keep track of your points. Talk with your coach and your zone rep about your excitement to be selected for the games and the opportunities to show your interest by participating in the above events.
