September Wrap up

What an amazing September! Thank you to everyone who helped put on the first three events for the 2022-23 season, including the 2023 Canada Winter Games Trials, the 2022 Coaches Retreat which included the first Kodomo Kata demonstration and last but not least and the 2022 Fall Inter-Provincial Camp. The first two events were held in Abbotsford, the home of the Judo BC Provincial Training Centre, and the camp was held in Vernon. None of these events would have been possible without the host clubs, Abbotsford Judo and Vernon Judo Club and their amazing leaders and volunteers.

Also a special thanks to our very special guest, Darcel Yandzi, one of the top judo coaches in the world! He wowed both the coaches are athletes with his speed, power, engaging personality and his unique approach to many judo techniques.

In addition to all the amazing judo in September we also celebrated National Coaches Week during the coaches retreat, and recognized the National Day for Truth and reconciliation at the Fall camp.
