Since 2005, Julia Gourley Donohue has served Krasl Art Center - first as the Director of Education, then as the Executive Director from 2011 until 2022, and most recently as the Senior Director of Development. This August, Julia begins a new professional role as the Director of Major Gifts for the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio.
I have had the honor of being colleagues with Julia for fifteen years. In that time, she has worked with the interests of the organization at the forefront. I appreciate her ardent belief that the arts are for everyone, and it is our role to provide access with excellence. I thank her for being a trusted colleague, a big thinker, and a collaborative leader.
Key projects during her tenure include the 2010 re-accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, the capital campaign to re-light Dale Chihuly’s Beacon Gold Chandelier, many grant-funded building improvements and donor-supported programs, Sculpting Community, and the leadership of Krasl through the pandemic. Julia fostered significant local support and has been an important part of our community.
