What a fantastic summer we have had so far at LOLA Arts! We’ve welcomed participants of all ages through our doors in the first two weeks of Arts Venture, holding music, art, theater, and dance classes. We had a record-setting 167 audience members at the Car Park Music Series concert this past Saturday at the Snowflake, with Chicago band Big Brothers’ Vinyl rocking the hits of the 60s and 70s. And we aren’t even halfway done with summer! So much more to look forward to in the rest of July and August. Some great classes, some great bands, and some great memories to be had!
Please note, that tickets for our Summer FUNdraiser are now on sale. A great evening at Asana Suka with a variety of delicious foods they’re creating for our theme. We love providing accessible arts opportunities, supporting artists, and bringing enrichment to the community, and rely largely on donations to do so. This is a lovely way to support us while having a nice evening enjoying the incredible food of Asana Suka, the fun of raffles and auctions, and the camaraderie of fellow arts patrons. Please consider attending.
I’m off to enjoy all the growth that July brings to my garden (man oh man, what some heat and humidity can do!) and hope that you are enjoying this summer season as well!
