The huge growth in tech companies across Florida, and indeed across much of the United States and globally, is a massive boon for business. Yet as always, it’s also important to ensure that you are legally protected and that you provide for any eventualities that may arise in terms of potential business and contract disputes.
In the course of doing business, you may have come across an arbitration clause in a contract and questioned its advantages compared to more conventional litigation. While arbitration and litigation are formal methods of settling business disputes, they differ fundamentally.

The Benefit of A Special Magistrate In Complex And Contentious Litigation Cases
There is nothing more draining and devasting than complex or contentious litigation. Complex and contentious litigation cases, whether it is in family or civil court are identified by certain characteristics. Some of those characteristics include (i) multiparty litigation; (ii) significant and lengthy discovery disputes; (iii) every single issue, whether procedural or substantive is heavily disputed; (iv) mental health disorders or drug use indicators are present; (v) clash in personalities and egos; (v) the case is drawn out for a substantial amount of time or as the proverbial saying goes, the parties will argue about anything even the color of the sky.

Helpful Hints:
California set to ban new gas-powered sales by 2035:
This month, the California Air Resources Board issued a rule which demands manufacturers of automobiles to expedite production of cleaner vehicles initially in 2026, prior to sales of exclusively zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) authorized in the state[1]. The plan necessitates that vehicles and light-duty trucks sold in California must be electric or zero-emission models by 20351. The ban, pending approval of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), would not change used vehicle sales nor constrain individuals from driving older vehicles with diesel engines1. The decision is predicted to clear the way for other states that have previously followed California’s automobile standards on preceding environmental vehicle rules, such as New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey[2].
U.S. Government’s Discontinuation of Free At-Home Covid Tests
The Biden administration has signaled the end of Covid-19 at-home tests giveaway because of inadequate congressional financing[3]. The administration has detailed that congressional passivity would likely result in unsuitable accommodations and damage towards efforts to reduce Covid-19 alertness3. Officials have concerns due to the continual depletion of tests amidst a possible fall surge3. Authority officials have promised to resume the program if congressional funding is provided3. Through the Covid-19 test website, the federal government has distributed an estimated amount of 600 million Covid-19 at-home tests3.
