Cronica de Diniz Borges in

NYPALC Looking for a Portuguese Grandmother with a story to tell

CALLING ALL NEW YORK PORTUGUESE!
Do you know of a Portuguese grandmother, a  matriarch of the family, to be featured in a documentary?

A documentary project is looking to profile Portugal by finding a grandmother from Portugal who emigrated here to the United States.

Through the eyes of a matriarch and her family, this documentary not only provides viewers with an in-depth look into a grandmother's
country of origin, but the experiences of America's immigrant population in general- why they left their country, how they made it here, and what they brought to America which has helped shape its greatness. These details are provided through a variety of topics, including personal stories and timelines, native recipes, interviews, and personal recommendations by not only the grandmothers and families themselves.

This documentary is thorough, yet easily digestible, beautiful and professionally presented and most importantly, leaves viewers feeling appreciative of how immigrants helped shape America as well as how and why we are better because of them.

Please help NYPALC find a grandmother in our community who could be the representation of Portugal in this documentary. She doesn't need to speak English as translation will be made. The production crew will go to the home of the chosen grandmother and her family (or a location of her choosing).

Great opportunity to have your family history become part of a documentary. Email info@nypalc.org along with a bio if you know of any Portuguese grandmother who would be a wonderful fit for this documentary.
